Your information,
looked after.
When you create an account, we use your email address to identify you and keep your saved pots, looks and preorder reservations together. Clerk provides sign-in and email verification. Our records are stored in a dedicated Neon database, and the website runs on Vercel.
What we save
Your account details, cookware choices, saved looks and any images you choose to upload. A preorder reservation also saves your selected products and delivery details. We do not collect card details or payment for reservations.
Collection updates
When you request a collection alert, we save your email and the collection you selected. That request is for updates about that collection.
Browser storage
Your shopping kitchen and Backburner list are stored in this browser. Your signed-in pots and saved looks are stored with your account. Sign-in uses cookies to keep your session secure.
Optional analytics
If you allow analytics, PostHog helps us understand visits, collection choices and the path from browsing to a reservation. A browser identifier connects repeat visits. After you sign in or submit a form successfully, we can link that history to the email you provide.
PostHog and Microsoft Clarity can record page interactions and build click and scroll heatmaps. Form fields are masked. We exclude account, checkout, sign-in and contact pages from recordings. We do not send delivery addresses, payment details or contact-message text to these tools.
You can decline analytics or change your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer. The site and its forms work either way. Declining stops future analytics collection; it does not erase data already collected. To ask us to remove earlier records, contact website@hottohandle.co.
Your controls
You can remove saved pots and looks from Your pots, and remove cart items or saved knobs whenever you like. Only the Hot to Handle team can view preorder reservations and collection-interest records.
